Does your school have an indoor court? Should schools have indoor courts? I believe we should because when its raining you can go and play in the indoor courts, for E.G basketball and dodgeball.


Firstly when its raining you can go and play in the indoor courts instead of being crowded in class.
It should be selected students to go in the court so that the court does not get crowded.

Secondly I think all schools in New Zealand should have a indoor court.
It will make rainy days more exciting and fun.
If we have indoor courts we will let out our energy before class starts instead of being hyper in class.

Thirdly we will get more different ranges of sports like hockey, basketball, turbo touch and much more.
You will also have different markings for the different types of sport.
Some people think that we don’t need indoor courts because it will cost lots of money for equipment, markings and hoops.

In conclusion I belive we should have indoor courts when its raining or when its hot in summer.
These are some reasons why. When its raining you can go and play, when you forget your hat or for PE during class time.
These are some strong reasons why we should have indoor courts compulsory in New Zealand.

Poem about the show is coming

This week for writing we had to write a poem about the show is coming because next week we are having a wearable arts show. Our model was the poem called winters coming.

Reading week 5

this week for Reading we were learning about endangered New Zealand animals and insects, so I chose the Canterbury Knobbled weevil witch is the most rarest insect in NZ. A AMAZING fact is that it was thought to be extinct in 1924 but was rediscovered in 2004!

Reading work week 8 term 2

I really enjoyed doing reading based on Matariki I learnt a lot of new things like how when Matariki comes its time for the gardeners to grow their vegetables and harvest. Also I learnt that Matariki means the clusters of stars.

Famous Sports Players

For writing we had to choose a topic that interests us and I couldn't decide witch topic I wanted to do so I did famous sports players and it nearly has all my favourite sports. I learnt a lot of new things by choosing this topic. 

Wolf report

This week we had to write an animal report and I chose a wolf because their interesting as well as fun to learn about also I learn a lot of new stuff. Also one thing I found interesting about wolves are that they are legendary because of there spine and tingling howl.

Reading work

For reading I enjoyed doing the meaning of Bob Marley's song war. 

My balanced argument

The issue is people are cutting down trees. Some people believe that we should cut trees however some people believe we shouldn’t cut trees down. We are going to look at both sides of the argument. If we cut trees down we can make paper, fire wood, bark, lollie rappers and chewing gum.we can also use roots and leaves to make oils, cosmetics along with medicines. As well as using the sap the flows through the trees you can make paint, soap, crayons and maple syrup. On the other side of the argument people think we shouldn’t chop trees down. Firstly if we cut trees down there will be less oxygen for us along with the animals that live in the trees such as koala, spider monkey, green tree python and much more. Secondly these animals will lose their home. Animals like birds and monkeys live in trees so when the trees get chopped down they will have nowhere to live. Thirdly they will lose there food because they might eat leaves and stems. Also trees a beautiful part of nature. There are both sides of the argument. I personally believe we should keep trees because it harms us and animals to. However others believe we should cut trees to make oil, cosmetics and medicines.

This term we are learning about conservation and this week I made a word cloud and a slide of Me-We-Them that means what I do what the school does and what the government does.

WALT:  Find the places in New Zealand. Because one of our tasks were to put labels on the map of were places are in NZ. Its in Te Reo Maori and English. 

Matching the terms

For Reading and Writing we had to identify variables, match the scientific method and put the direction for the scientific method step by step.

The Ice experiment

In class we are doing things based on science, experiment stuff because we are doing a STEAM fair and If you don't know what STEAM stands for It means science, technology, engineering art and mathematics.

Sport

On Friday we had to choose a topic that interests us and Trinity and I both like sport so we did our topic on sport. We both did something based on the Olympics such as commonwealth games, winter Olympics and Olympics ( Summer games). I really enjoyed doing this.

There are many ways you can look after cat. These include jobs like Feeding,
Training and entertaining!

Feeding your cat

Today, for this whole report, we will talk about cats/kittens.

What to feed them...

Make sure you know what your cat likes. Cat biscuits, meat, just make sure you know.
 DON’T FEED THEM Chocolate, dairy products, coffee, tea energy
drinks and etc.

How to feed them…

Some cats need to be free fed and mostly all
other cats should be fed in their cat bowls. Also avoid giving cats to many treats.

Training your cat

What skills to teach them…

You should train a cat how to BEG/ ASK. So that when you hold
your cat/kittens treat over their head they should stand on their hind legs and reach for
there snack. Keep practicing until your cat begs on command and give your pet a
reward but never feed them milk!

Equipment…                                                                                                     

 To catch a cat’s attention you should play with a toy they like, for E.G the dangler.

Entertaining your cat

To entertain a cat you need equipment…

Like a dangler, fish catnip toy, cat scratching tower.

How to entertain…

If you want to entertain a cat you should start scratching a cat and if it’s happy it would start purring.

Conclusion

Taking care of a cat has many responsibilities including entertaining, feeding and training have fun looking after a cat!
